Sailor was bought out of a bad prospects by Pammy Faye in June this year from the art store at Warakurna Artists… His Blue Heeler ancestry gives him his pretty colour effects, but his slender physique and fluffy detailing betrays a more complex ancestry. His girlfriend Ninti is still missing him. His male human (Papa Bear) calls him the Bipolar Bear for his moments of extreme indecision.

However he’s more confident with his views on art: he barks at the Ante Dabro newds which are scattered all around Canberra, but he’s perfectly comfortable with this amoebic James Angas.

And now see Bob Gosford’s story about Ding the Dingo… And Sailor’s experience of the other side (below, and see Pammy’s comment in explanation).

I have NO copyright in the camp Dog of the Week concept – do your best!! Remember hybrid vigour!
I like to think that Captain Sailor’s appreciation of public art was honed during a recent overnight stay in the local dog lock-up (otherwise known as the pound) with his pal Banjo – nothing quite like a night in a grey concrete box to refine one’s understanding of minimalism.
